Merrell Jackson was born on April 26 1952 in Chicago Illinois USA. He was an actor known for Godspell: A Musical Based on the Gospel According to St. Matthew (1973). He died on February 23 1991.He auditioned for the Chicago production of "Godspell" in May 1972 but was cast in the movie version instead. After filming the movie in New York he joined the Chicago stage cast in November 1972.A 1971 graduate of Calumet High School in Chicago Illinois. In his senior year he appeared as King Melchior in a school production of the Christmas opera "Amahl and the Night Visitors" that was also broadcast on WCIU-TV. He joined Chicago's Goodman Theater in 1971.
